"Food is one way to gently bridge communities and break down walls of intolerance, ignorance and fear. The simple act of sharing a meal, especially those familiar foods from family and community, connects us to our values and our dreams for justice." (from the Introduction, Recipes on the Move).

Accompanying each detailed recipe is a short story, offering a glimpse into the cultural origins of the recipe and the importance of these dishes in the hearts (and bellies) of the authors, their families, their past and contemporary communities. (70 pages)
