Save the Date!

Join NNIRR to celebrate Cathi Tactaquin!

Saturday, June 15th

6:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Ed Roberts Campus

3075 Adeline Street

Berkeley, CA (@Ashby BART)

Join NNIRR in honoring outgoing Executive Director, Cathi Tactaquin’s vision, leadership and commitment to movement building over the last 30+ years. While Cathi intends to remain active in the immigrant and refugee rights movement, we will miss her at the helm even as she will help to provide guidance and support during our transition.

Our June 15 program will feature:

  • The jazz sounds of the Ben Luis Band
  • Dancing to “The Coolerators”, with Eva Paterson, Paula Collins, Cheryl Stevens, Brad Seligman, Bob Hirsch, Bill Hing, Elizabeth Cabraser, Bill Tamayo & David Chiu
  • Comedy with Nato Green
  • Great food and a no-host bar

You can send Cathi message of love, appreciation and solidarity by supporting this cool event!;

Please consider becoming a sponsor of this Gratitude event, including placing an ad in our commemorative program book.

Under Cathi’s leadership, NNIRR has raised the profile of the human rights of migrants, and has relentlessly campaigned for fair, just and humane immigration reform in the U.S. NNIRR has strived to bring awareness about the links between global instability and patterns of migration, and Cathi, in particular, has played a direct role in advocating at the UN and other global spaces for policies that lift up human rights for migrants and refugees in transit, at borders, and in countries around the world.

We will continue to carry out this important work anchored by Cathi’s legacy of strategic visioning, leadership development and human rights-based advocacy.
